Carrying out the task of tube replacement can need the need of specialized boiler tube accessories. Not all boilers have easy access to their tube sheets. Especially when water boxes etc., are blocking the sheet. Some vertical boilers need access through hand holes to make connections. So, the requirement for specialized tooling will become clear.

Mandrel Drives - Boiler Tube Accessories
Mandrel drives connect expanders to rolling drives. So, many different types of mandrel drive are available. These range from interchangeable female square to fixed female squares. These come with Morse taper (MT3) connections. Additionally, the triangular shank mandrel drive for three jaw chucks is available. All these come in different female squares, from 3/8" to 1.0". Right Angled Worm Drives
The Right Angled Worm Drive, used for operating in confined areas. Especially where required a 90-degree change of drive feeding torque to the expander. Made in a one-piece construction for the greatest durability. These tools, when used in mud and steam drums, the location of the drive is outside the drum.
