Sugar Mill Tube Expanders

Sugar mill tube expanders

Sugar mill tube expanders are primarily employed in the rolling process of thin-walled tubes found in sugar mill juice heaters and evaporator pans. These expanders specifically designed for sugar mills offer a more precise and uniform expansion, eliminating triangulation between the rollers. Retubing juice pans can often be a challenging task due to their unique design. However, by using the SB Series Sugar Mill Tube Expanders in conjunction with the CSB expander, this job becomes significantly easier. These expanders can cover tube outer diameters ranging from 1.1/2″ to 4.1/2″ and use a 5-roll system to ensure smooth and consistent rolling within the sugar mill apparatus.

The required sizes for our CSB Series sugar mill tube expanders can be customized to your specifications. The CSB series handles rolling the bottom plate, while the top plate is rolled by the SB series. In order to achieve a precise roll, it is necessary to take measurements between the two plates. When there is limited space underneath the juice pans, the CSB series can be operated from the top. The provided diagram illustrates a juice pan featuring the SB Series (1) and CSB Series (2) tube expanders. Rolling these tubes from the bottom is highly restricted.

Product Quality

Precision Quality

We work to high tolerances for all machining of expanders and associated equipment. This allows accurate expansion to achieve perfect sealed joints in tube sheets. Using the best tool steel and cryogenic processes for hardening and conditioning. Giving our tooling the optimum performance in the harshest surroundings.
We assemble each expander while checking the quality of the manufacture. Every individual tool is laser-marked with our name, Powermaster Canada. Also, we mark with the tube OD, wall thickness and expansion range. Expanders are then oiled bagged and boxed for shipping. Therefore, with our quality control and machining excellence, we supply a quality tool.

Rolling Sugar Mill Tube Expanders

The PTR-03 Electric Rolling Motor, crafted and engineered in Germany, stands as a robust and resilient powerhouse. Its exceptional performance has made it a leading choice across various applications. From rigorous drilling to precise line boring, the Eibenstock motor series caters to the demands of continuous power in engineering. With options available in 120-volt or 240-volt variants and a frequency range of 50-60 Hertz, we offer the ideal drive model tailored to your specific power supply. Trust us to deliver the utmost performance when it comes to rolling boiler tubes.

The unit boasts a formidable power output, generating high torque capable of rolling 3 OD tubes. As a result, it is an ideal machine for the pulp and paper industry. Equipped with a gradual startup feature, it offers two gears with a load speed ranging from 30-75/90-230 RPM. Additionally, a simple switch enables the drive motor to effortlessly reverse expanders out of the tube. The PTR-03’s arbor is a Morse Taper 3, allowing for seamless connection to the expander. To cater to your specific requirements, we provide a mandrel drive, available in either a ¾ or 1.0 female square option. As shown below.

Most plants contain sugars in their tissues, and honey and fruits are abundant sources of natural simple sugars. Sugarcane and sugar beet are particularly rich in sucrose, making them optimal for efficient extraction in the production of refined sugar. The combined global production of these crops reached approximately two billion tonnes in 2016. Malting grain can yield maltose, while lactose, the only sugar not derived from plants, is exclusively found in milk, including human breast milk, and certain dairy products. Corn syrup, a cost-effective sugar source, is industrially produced by converting corn starch into sugars like maltose, fructose, and glucose.
